Do you also have a whole bunch of records? Do you sometimes put on one of the older albums and think: ‘Oh, how I loved this album! I listened so damn much to this record!’?
On an easy Sunday I want to sit back and listen to one of my older favourite records and reminisce.
Today I’ve chosen The Neon Handshake by Hell Is For Heroes.
I remember going to the Ancienne Belgique for Papa Roach during my studies in Brussels. As I had classes until 6 pm that day, I ran a bit late. When I entered the venue, a band called Hell Is For Heroes had already begun their set. However, I was hooked from that first moment! I simply love their lyrics and their music.
I’ve seen them several times live, mostly in the UK. Man, how did I survive all those years without Hell Is For Heroes playing shows? They are so damn good! In 2018 I got to photograph them 3 nights in a row: in Portsmouth and in London (2x) when they celebrated the 15th anniversary of The Neon Handshake. What an awesome time I had!
If you don’t have the physical album, check the video below!
Did you know that singer Justin has another project called August Spies?
Have a great lazy Sunday and enjoy The Neon Handshake!
